Multiplier Event – Burgas

The Multiplier Event (ME) organized by Burgas Free University in Burgas, Bulgaria on 20th April 2023 was a resounding success, attracting an impressive turnout of over 50 enthusiastic participants. This event served as a pivotal platform for disseminating the outcomes of the RECOM project and promoting the adoption of innovative teaching practices in the domain of programming education.

The event commenced with the warm welcome and registration of participants, setting the stage for a collaborative and engaging atmosphere. This allowed attendees to network and interact with like-minded educators, researchers, and stakeholders from various institutions and backgrounds.

The core focus of the ME was on the presentation of the RECOM project and its key intellectual outputs, including the guidebook on "Online/Hybrid Teaching Practices for Effective Programming Classes," the framework for designing programming courses, and the MOODLE platform developed by the project. These presentations aimed to showcase the innovative tools and materials that were developed to enhance the quality of programming education and improve the learning experience for students.

To facilitate a deeper understanding and practical engagement with the project deliverables, interactive workshops and group activities were likely incorporated into the ME agenda. Participants had the opportunity to explore and experiment with the video-tutorials, mobile games, case studies, and e-quizzes created by the RECOM project. These hands-on sessions allowed educators to experience firsthand how these materials could be effectively integrated into their teaching methodologies.

The ME at Burgas Free University exemplified the commitment of the academic community to advancing programming education. By bringing together a diverse group of more than 50 participants, the event fostered knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and fruitful discussions surrounding best practices in teaching programming courses.

The success of the Burgas ME further highlighted the significance and impact of the RECOM project, as it continued to resonate with educators and institutions striving to improve their programming curricula.
